While my sisters were visiting, we made a trip to Downtown LA where we checked out the bargains on Santee Alley and visited Pershing Square.
A few blocks away is the Angels flight railway - the shortest railway in the world. It costs a whopping 25cents for each journey - but we treated ourselves.
It was built in 1901 to carry well-to-do citizens to the fashionable Bunker Hill neighborhood.
Next door is a little park called Angel's Knoll, which is used as a location in the film "500 Days of Summer".
The most random thing about this park, perched on a really steep incline, would be its goat inhabitants.
Wonders will never cease in this eclectic city.
